Grocery Assistance

Unfortunately our shopping

floor is closed due to the pandemic.

The drive-through box distribution is our only form

of grocery assistance.

We need volunteers every day to ensure we can serve our neighbors well. Click below to find out how you can get involved!

& Resources

One of our goals is to address the underlying issues that come with hunger to help Payne County residents step out of poverty.  Click below to find out more!

Our Story

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Our Daily Bread Food & Resource Center emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. We're an organization, established in 2017, driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support, as we started as a combination of several local food pantries. We offer 17 shopping sessions a month - four days a week and third Saturday - to fight hunger in Payne County. We affiliate with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors consists of stellar community members, who believe in our mission and want to be the precursors to enable lasting change. They plan and form committees to ensure that this organization has the support and resources necessary to collaboratively feed Payne County.

Our Board members:  Kathy Sandefur, President; Monty Karns, President-elect; Andrew Ranson, Past-President; Rod Goodner, Treasurer; Sarah Young, Secretary; Jim Flesher, Mark Gregory, Kathy Hall, Steve James, Earl Mitchell, Philip Norwood, Onalee Santos, Clem Ward, Joe Weaver, and Cristi Wuller.

Want to Join our Board?

We are humbled by the number of people who wish to serve on our board. Please know that board positions become available in June  for a 3 year terms, and we select people who are volunteers and/or donors of Our Daily Bread. Individuals must have a heart for the people we serve and the work we do, as well as the time to meet at least once a month, serve on a committee or two, and attend fundraising events.
