COVID-19 Contingency  Response

The health, safety, and well-being of our volunteers, guests, and staff is of top priority. Our Daily Bread exists to feed our hungry neighbors. It is in disasters like this that our under-served neighbors are exposed to greater vulnerability—whether it is access to food, health care, childcare, sick leave, etc. The balance of keeping our volunteers, guests, and staff healthy and at the same time providing food to our neighbors who are left even more at risk of hunger due to the crisis at hand is not one that we take lightly.

As of March 31, 2020, pre-packed boxes of food will be handed out in a drive-thru approach, which will unfortunately remove the guest-choice aspect of our normal operations. Normal shopping sessions will temporarily stop, and boxes will be the sole way of food distribution until the risk of infection has passed. Guests will be asked to stay in their cars, while volunteers load the food into the vehicles. If you do not have a vehicle, you can walk up to get groceries.

In order to still serve our guests and limit spread of the virus, our hours of distribution will be as follows:

Tuesday: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Thursday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Every 3rd Sat. of the Month: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

All decisions regarding our response to the pandemic will be made by ODB leadership doing our best to look out for the safety of our entire community. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this incredibly difficult time. Please follow our Facebook page @OurDailyBreadStillwater for updates.

Our Mission:

Feeding our community collaboratively and providing connections that enable lasting change.

Shopping Hours:

Currently our shopping hours

have been suspended and have

been replaced with a drive through

box distribution.

We are looking forward to the day

that we can resume our preferred,

guest-choice shopping experience.

What to Bring on Your First Visit:

  • Any government issued ID for you and all household members (license, social security, birth certificate, medical ID card, etc.) *A household is defined by everyone who shares one kitchen space.*

  • Proof of residence in Payne County (if different than what's listed on your ID.)

What Is Guest Choice?

Guest-choice means that our guests can choose what they feed their families, just like they would at a regular grocery store. Guests only take what they like, want, and can use, which increases their overall satisfaction and decreases food waste!
